Btw, to the recent folding boats thread: one of the photos shows patches on
Feathercraft hull *near* reinforcing strip.  Kleppers have those strips
wider than Feathercrafts, which means they protect more area.  We don't have
anything like ice here in BC, but oyster beds and sharp rocks are terrrible
things for any fodler. Won't do any good to fiberglass hulls, of course, but
at least, won't cut it through (icy water in a kayak - brrr). Just some
observations; still have to read the complete report.
