Just got back from another week-long trip with teens. I have yet to be on any trip with the counseling service that runs these trips without having more than one youth getting sunburn. Adults often have a tiny bit more sennse about the sun, but not always a whole lot. On this trip, to Cumberland Island in Georgia, two of the adults where sunbathing on the beach. But they avoided burning only because it was too windy and cold to stay very long in the open. So I would add sunburn as a problem to expect. Once got a mild case myself in Greenland when it was quite cool the whole trip. But on the water, with 24 hours of direct sunshine, the exposure adds up. My face got a bit fried in one morning. A second problem that pops up on the trips is rashes - poison plants, reactions to bug bites and such - where a good antihistamine is a really nice thing to have.
