Paddlewisers, It looks like I might be spending a long weekend in Hilton Head, SC in early May. Would anyone familiar with the area care to give some advice, caveats, names of outfitters, local paddling clubs, informational websites, favorite put-ins, war stories, etc., about kayaking in the area? Thanks in advance. Emile Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! A few years ago I did a tour with Outside Hilton Head (the Bull Creek Tour). I felt the tour was handled well - but I was also a newbie paddler at the time. Even looking back though I still think they provided a good tour. Lots of dolphins and birds. Well planned in terms of tidal flows. Good lunch. Decent equipment. Seemed a reputable operator. Carried safety equip including VHF radio, etc. Our guide had recently paddled up the east coast - some fun stories to share. http://www.outsidehiltonhead.com/ No association, etc etc K *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
