The rough water consisted of 18 INCH waves in five feet of water. We curled up with our feet off the sand to pretend we could not touch. It was interesting to say the least. The most surprising part was catching a manned kayak nose first square in the chest with a lot of force behind it. The PFD took the edge off the impact and probably saved a trip to the ER.
