When my Etrex Legend failed at the very end of the warranty, they repaired
it at no charge. However when it failed again for the same reasons, nine
months later, they wanted about 2/3 the price of a new unit to repair it.

I then bought a GPSMap76 and a dry bag for it. So far that combo works well.
