Anyone have some favourite high-yield combinations or unusual foodstuffs
for kayaking?
 Doug Lloyd

A favourite [fun spelling!] of mine for both paddling and cross country
skiing is banana leather. I buy bananas when they are really cheap -
over ripe. When they are so ripe that they pour out of the skins I mix
two parts banana with one part peanut butter in a blender, adding flavors
or not [chocolate, malt, cinnamon, whatever]. Then put the mix into the
food dehydrator and, when it looks and feels like shoe leather, bag it up
and store in the freezer. High energy, very good taste, lasts a long
time without refrigeration.

Then again, a Snickers bar works well, too.
