Long shot here, but anyone on the list that has paddled Geist Reservoir
outside Indinanapolis, IN? We're going over for something else and I'm
thinking of throwing the boats on top of the car. Topo makes the NE end look
better than the SW end, but experience may prove otherwise.

Author Tom Martin will update Atlanta, Three Forks Maine and Washington D.C.
boaters on the controversial Colorado River Management Plan now in progress
for Grand Canyon National Park. Learn how this plan will affect America's
last greatest Wilderness and the boating public who raft the Colorado River
in the park. Tom will illustrate his talk with a slide show on the Grand
Canyon based on his books, Day Hikes From The River, and the new Guide To
The Colorado River In The Grand Canyon.

EAST COAST SLIDE SHOW SCHEDULE:

Atlanta Georgia, Tuesday May 25 and Wednesday May 26

Tuesday, May 25th, 7:00PM

Directions: From downtown Atlanta, head north on I-85 (bear left at the
split with I-75 North at the north end of downtown).  About a mile or two
after that split take the GA 400 North exit on the right.  Follow GA 400
North a mile or two and take the Lennox Rd. exit which is before the toll
starts.  It is the first exit off GA 400 you will come to.  Turn left at the
end of the exit ramp onto Lennox Rd.  Go a couple hundred yards and turn
right onto Piedmont Rd.  Follow Piedmont maybe half a mile to Roswell Rd.
and turn right.  High Country Outfitters is about half a mile up on the left
next to Stein Mart.

Wednesday, May 26th, Doors open at 7:00PM, presentation starts 7:30PM

Directions: Take 285 East to 85 North to the Indian Trail exit, turn Right
(South more or less). Indian Trail is the exit after Jimmy Carter. About 3
miles down Indian Trail, you'll cross a small stream bridge, with a BP gas
station on right. Turn Right on Hwy 29, the Lawrenceville Hwy. Take the
immediate Left lane change, and turn Left at the light, this is Main St
Lilburn. About 1 mile down Main St, just after the stop sign, turn left into
the City Hall / Police Station parking lot. The meeting is in the City Hall.

Three Forks, Maine, Sunday May 30, 5:30PM Three Rivers Rafting Route 201
near West Forks, Maine.

Directions: Take Interstate 95 to Exit 36 (Skowhegan/Jackman). Go north on
Rt. 201
57.5 miles. You will travel through Skowhegan, Solon and Bingham. Continue
north on 201 past Caratunk. Three Forks is between Caratunk and The Forks.
Approximately 20 miles after leaving the town of Bingham, watch for the
flashing Caution Moose sign. Continue 4.8 miles past the flashing Moose sign

illustrating Grand Canyon hikes you can do from the river and exciting river
running shots. The presentation will also cover the highly controversial

50,000 comments for the CRMP. What's in the balance is the future of the
last greatest American wilderness. This slideshow is of vital importance to
any canyon lover hoping to visit the Colorado River in Grand Canyon.
