Yeah, but it was still a great piece of humour-writing, at least I thought
so. In terms of paddling humour, there are two types of contributors: those
who can and those who can't - though some of the attempts at good humour can
be interesting. Mark is an Ameri-can, as opposed to an Ameri-can't.

The Pacific Northwest seems to have cooled down a bit with the westerlies
lately after a hot May and August, but the winds are picking up - just in
time for me getting back on the water. I'm becoming a monster to live with
without my cherished water-time. Hope you guys don't melt away this summer
down there. And what about Florida? The indoor ice rinks down there are too
slushy to play good hockey on. Though Tampa did win the Stanley Cup. What
has this world come to?
