If someone is looking for some inspiration - I'd love to see someone develop S&G plans for a solo canoe with full snap on spray deck - similar to this one from We-no-nah canoes: http://www.rutabaga.com/product.asp?pid=1002304 Appears to be basically a 17' kayak-ish hull without a deck - paddled as a single kayak would be. Would be a nice design for areas like the BWCAW IMO.
