Great info, Scott! I'll try West Marine for instant replacement, rather than waiting weeks for SH to do their thing. I'll try the plug suggestions you mentioned on the replacement. One question: if you use the silicon goop in the mic jack, can it ever be used again? If I ever get the prototype hard case I mentioned, a connect will be required through the case in order to use the waterproof throat mic that is supposed to coming as well. Thanks again for the info.
