Desperate measures!! I don't suppose either of you would like to send in a short Bio and/or photo? It almost goes without saying you're both major contributors and I'm sure people would be interested. Would anyone else like to send in a Who's Who entry? Who's Who is a public website hosted by Paddlewise and accessible to anyone on the internet. Just send your details in plain text as part of your email to mailto:rebyl_kayak_at_iprimus.com . Send anything you like so long as its vaguely related to paddling and not illegal or immoral (fattening is OK). Attach small pictures too if you wish. We tend not to include addresses or telephone numbers and use a simple code for email addresses for privacy. A lot of people use a standard format but its not essential - any form will do. I've given an example below - It's a figment of my tortured mind. All the best, PeterO Fictitious Example Follows:- a) NAME: Herc Dolittle b) EMAIL ADDRESS: Herc_at_warmmail.com.timbuctoo c) KAYAKS (Owned or Paddled): Golden vessel with pumice rocks for ballast - more of a canoe than a kayak d) BOAT NAME Laborious e) SPECIAL INTERESTS: Great white shark wrestling f) SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE: Risk management g) STRONG OPINIONS: Don't wrestle great white sharks h) MOST INTERESTING KAYAK TRIP: Paddling from Vesuvius to Timbuctoo via the Sahara I) SHORT BIO: Born in Thebes 1000BC. Left town in a hurry after quarrelling with Hera (she was just a friend, honest!). After working hard all my life, retired to Herculaneum (liked the name) and Pliny the Elder taught me to paddle in the Bay of Naples, but I was always faster than him. Left town in a hurry in 79 AD and paddled to Timbuctoo. Have worked variously as tanner, pest exterminator, poacher, pig farmer, stable hand, hydraulic engineer and matador. After that I engaged in a life of crime - But I'm semi retired now and a reformed character. These days paddle around in an unusual vessel given me by my mate Sol. Have just recently subscribed to Paddlewise. Would have subscribed when I first learned to kayak but the stone tablets kept bouncing back with "mailbox unavailable" messages. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
