I'm trying to put together a plan to paddle around Cape Flattery and would appreciate some help with the logistics. I'd like to do a one way paddle from Neah Bay to Mukkaw Bay I'm not familiar with the area and would like to know where the best put in is and if it's possible to do a pull out and hitch hike or walk back to the put in to pick up vehicles. Where's the best put in? Is it wise to leave a boat on Mukkaw Bay beach? I could call a taxi if such a thing exist in Neah Bay for the return trip. My present chart, I'll get a new one in Port Angeles, is a (1932)1:158,000 chart of the entire Juan De Fuca Strait and shows almost no detail of the cape. Is it possible to land at Warmhouse Beach? The only other two features on the chart are, 'Hole in the Wall,' and two adjacent waterfalls NW of Waatch Point. This charts so old I would not be surprised if the Hole has fallen and the water dried up. If there is anyone on line that knows the area well please contact me back channel or if anyone can recommend a guide book which details the paddle route please let me know. I'm only planning on doing this trip if the weather is favorable.
