I would agree with Rob on the Pentax Optio Digital camera. I kept mine around my neck unprotected or on the deck in a cordura case on several kayak trips. The zoom capability is not as good as many cameras, but I am impressed on the quality of the shots and durability of the camera. I have taken several hundred shots underwater as well (not more than 1 meter deep) Awesome kayaking camera and fairly user friendly for basic functions. :) Jim Meldrum Slave Lake, Alberta. I carried it unprotected in my pfd pocket where it got submerged/soaked several times. The only care I gave it was rinsing it off in fresh water when I had the chance. It still works fine. My only complaint would be a desire for greater zoom capability - those wolfs look so small:) Rob.
