When I bought my Kahuna from Folding Kayak Adventures in Seattle, the owner (name escapes me, as do many things lately) was looking at fitting knee braces from one of their larger boats into the Kahuna by drilling holes for the braces in the rolling PE ribs rather than the standard PC ribs. I checked back a few weeks later and he felt that the knee braces would get in the way of a wet exit, but I've been wondering if there was a way to take that concept and fit something that would provide a solid point for a brace but not get in the way for exiting. As my mechanical skills revolve around telling someone else what I want done and not doing it myself, I've not pursued it, but it might work as a starting point.
