1) Tie the end of your rope to the middle of your tent peg. 2) Dig 6 inch deep hole for tent peg. 3) Lay tent peg on its side at 90 degrees to the pull on the rope. 4) Bury tent peg. Been there, done that. In sand it works better with sticks.
