Hi Jeff,

Two things,

I have a Garmin GPSMAP76. I can adjust parameters like beacon, speed or
bearing to the size of half the screen and I can read them without my
glasses. There are three number size settings. I can make my route in
the computer and load it to the GPS or save the track made into the
computer. It has all kind of features.

It is pretty much waterproof, except for the battery case that shows
some corrosion. Have not had water in connections plug to PC.

I have solved the problem with silicone gel. It can be bought in many
places.

I shall give you, when we meet again next week a gel (that stays as gel
with time) that we make for other purposes, and you can place it in the
battery case seal perimeter and in the connectors plug. It won't affect
your contact and will stop salty water from entering there.

It can be removed easily with a cloth, and can be reapplied with your
finger. It is non toxic and non environmentally harmful.

Best Regards,

Rafael
