Hi all, Time again for me to tap the awsome reserves of local knowledge on Paddlewise. My wife and I will be visiting the San Francisco area and Yosemite in September. We will pick up the car at the SF airport the morning of the 11th, and we have reservations in Yosemite the evenings of the 13th and 14th. Other than that, we're looking to day-paddle some good nature spots and sample a wee bit o' wine as we pass thru wine country. Any advice is appreciated, but I'm looking for advice on where to paddle and who to rent from as well as tips on lodging near to the paddling. Blue Water Kayak and Tomales Bay has caught my eye for Sunday the 12th. Are the lakes in the Sierras good paddles? I suspect getting a boat for hire up there might be an issue. How about the temps (coast & lakes)? Wet suits recommended?
