A Greenland paddle is made from one piece of wood and is not feathered, or "featherable". The center of the paddle flows into the blades seamlessly, and the blades are long, starting close to the center, and flaring slightly toward the ends. The blades are basically flat, though carved to be a bit rounded on the edges.
