Ahh, the genetics of good joints vs the genetics of good athletes. That brings in a whole lot of stuff that would waste too many electrons and time ('specially since I'm supposed to be packing for this weekend's kayak trip). BTW, not all fast paddlers are particularly muscular, even in sprint kayaking. If you've ever met Greg Barton and his paddling partner Oscar, you'll see a contrast in body types. Oscar is a big guy and Greg is average. Greg also has noticably skinny legs! I guess you don't need much for all that leg pumping.
