Kirk mentioned the Nielson Kellerman Speedcoach model knotmeter. This is available here in Australia for a whopping $528 !!! Obviously a nice machine, but you would have to a serious speed merchant to justify that! Obviously designed for the top end market. I notice the SpeedTech is a lot cheaper, but there is a query about the future of this model. In fact I cannot get the company's website to function which could be a harbinger of bad news. Is SpeedTech still in business? My question is whether anyone knows of any other brands/models out there suitable for kayaks?
