I named it "Isabel." I was well into the construction in 2003 when we got hit by hurricane Isabel. My house flooded. At the time, the boat was in the garage, and it got it's first taste of salt water when it was lifted off the cradle used during construction. Although it went thru the hurricane and was flooded, it floated and was not otherwise hurt in any fashion. It had been glassed inside and out, so all I had to do before continuing construction was to rinse it off (well, that and tens of thousands of dollars of home repairs and disaster recovery, but we won't go into that right now). Anyway, in honor of the hurricane launching her and otherwise not hurting her, I felt obligated to name it in her honor. It doesn't appear "on" the boat anywhere, but I refer to her as "Isabel.
