Have not seen the video yet, but that "girl" has got to be Ginni Callahan. You are correct: I bet she spends little time in the central part of the Bar or near the tip of the North Jetty. The Shellbacks of Portland, OR, like the tide race off the tip of Jetty A, and Waikiki Beach/Smugglers Cove for practice/fun in serious overfalls and surf. Those areas can be completely unpaddleable, also, but in the right conditions are demanding but fun.
