Hi Jay, It is true in Baja and almost in most of Mexican roads, when dealing with a sport object and foreign plates yo have no problems with hanging objects behind the car . I have had no problem on the roads in general, even with my Mexican plates. It is when going through Mexico City and the central Mexico surrounding cities that you have problems. And I must go trhogu Mexico City every time I go to Veracruz. Best Regards, Rafael Jay wrote, I have taken kayaks into Mexico, usually Baja, for years and never heard of the requirement that nothing overhangs the truck. Sometimes there would be 4 feet hanging over the back with a flag on it and nothing was said. Am I just lucky or what? The rack looks very strong and rigid. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
