I was thinking about a trip to Black Canyon (Colorado River, just below Hoover Dam) in a few weeks. From what I've gathered so far, it sounds like the easiest way might be to put in at Willow Beach and paddle upstream, camp for a night or 2, and then float back down. I'm wondering about the weather in December, finding campsites, and if it would be worthwhile to start lower than Willow Beach to make for a longer trip. Any advice out there?
