Subject: [Paddlewise] How was 2004?

Rick - great question: 
-I upgraded to a QCC500 and a carbon fiber paddle this year
-Participated in the 2004 Great Hudson River Paddle (GHRP is 150 miles
Albany NY to Manhattan and we camped along the river), 
-Circumnavigated Manhattan island (30 miles).
-Placed 2nd in a club race (my paddling buddy who races came in 1st and all
the fellows finished behind her & me.....  ) 
- and I paddled many many more miles and went further on any one trip
(around Manhattan) than my husband did in in his 28' cabin cruiser w/ twin
big blocks (he mutters about gas prices a lot)

I had so much fun, I'm not sure what will happen in '05, but a couple
friends are talking about paddling the Mississippi.
