Keep your eye on a couple of websites - the Great Lakes Sea Kayaking 
Association's Georgian Bay Committee page (which currently covers 
Bruce peninsula) and my web site:

On the former, you'll find a clickable map with descriptions of 
paddling routes and destinations.  We are hoping to expand the list 
of sites to include other areas besides just the Bruce.

The latter has some partially completed versions of other sites in 
the Great Lakes region, including Lake Ontario sites near Toronto.  
These are being developed and improved (someday) and will be 
transferred to the GLSKA website in the future.

My site also has a bibliography page with a few books listed.

There's a bunch of paddling data that's been collected in our club, 
but we have to get folks to turn it into web pages and such.  I'm 
hoping to get this going over the winter - just have to find the 
right butts to kick :-)  When this is done, the GLSKA web site will 
be expanded.

I've got no affiliation with the latter.  They have a link to White 
Squall, which is GB's main kayaking outfitter (there are others, but 
these guys are pretty much central and quite knowledgable).

PS - the north-east parts of Georgian Bay are best - less populated 
and the water is shallow enough in areas to keep the power boats away 
from lots of islands and routes.  The photo in the banner of my web 
site is taken from Fox Island looking north to Killarney Provincial 
Park.
