Definate:

- Tybee Island Ga of course.
- Horn Island, Mississippi
- Boundary Waters, Minn for two weeks.
- Lake Jocassee, SC for a week.
- Suwannee River, Ga and FL
- 4 day tour of local barrier islands that was planned and thwarted
three times this year, (high winds, angry spouse, unexpected visit by
relatives).

Goal:

- I dipped my paddle at least once a week all but a few weeks this year
in addition to a half dozen long trips for a total of 837 statute miles
so far according to my GPS trip computer. This year I am trying for
twice a week and at least 1500 miles.

Dream:

- I am searching for late summer travel bargains and negotiating with
my wife for one really exotic trip this year. Currently under
consideration are Vietnam or Honduras but anywhere cheap that we
haven't been could work. Anyone know of a deal?

When all else fails:

  - I live in a place that has an incredible number and variety of
beautiful year-round wilderness paddling venues. See my article in the
Oct/Nov 03 issue of "Wavelength",
http://www.wavelengthmagazine.com/2003/on03year.php
