I am interested in information anyone has in
kayaking/canoeing the Tanana River from Fairbanks AK,
and then downstream on the Yukon no further than
Galena. I would like to stay in Class I river
conditions. Looking at a map, it looks like there may
be a lot of sand/gravel bars in the area of Fairbanks
dependent upon the water level. As plans are right
now, I will probably start out in early/mid June. Any
info helping me plan this trip would be appreciated.
