Ups ... This sounds like a wake up call for me ! Ralph, I live in Maui and have 2 fully equipped sea kayaks waiting for you and your wife for as long as you need them. All tour operators in Maui use Ocean Kayak stile sit on tops, and the tours they offer have less to do with paddling and kayaking and more with turtle watching. Snorkeling is good everywhere you go, and you'll find turtles everywhere as well. You don't need an outfitter for that, especially when they are charging $75 a piece for a 3 hs tour .... Said that, feel free to contact me. As far as I know, I used to be the only argentinean member of PW, and certainly, the only one in Maui too. By the way ... Happy holidays everybody, I haven't been posting for so long I hope you still remember me. I'll be roughing it on Maui the first two week of January with my wife. I hope to do a an easy kayak/snorkle trip with her. As you might expect there are a number of outfitters. I'm leaning towards these guys: http://www.mauiecotours.com/trips/xplorer/ If anyone knows any outfitters that offer something in less barge-like boats that most outfitters need to use I can probably manage a solo trip, leaving her on the beach. ;-) If anyone else has any suggestions, experiences or other thoughts I'm all ears(eyes...). *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
