Hi Dave, I have heard of such large wind generated waves in the Roaring
40's, Tsunami from land slides, and large mid ocean meteorite (Bolide)
splash down. I read one account of a large wave that entered a fjord in
Norway or Sweden, and took out homes over a 1000 ft above MSL. So yeah they
happen, and whether they are of divine intervention or not is debatable.
However for the poor soul living at MSL at water edge, in any of the above
scenarios, debate is no longer needed, and Low, Mid, or High bracing won't
really be too critical. You might not want to set around waiting for a 50
meter wave under these circumstances, OTOH, if one does occur, you might
want to stand up in your kayak, and in one last act of defiance, give a Jake
the Snake salute! Tnt
