Carlos didn't get to Costa Rica, but put in a good effort anyway. Sea kayakers
need to know when not to launch, and when to discontinue, eh?

On the other hand, a paddler is setting off around Australia:

Too many paddling hours per day. They've made it (Carlos and companions)
from Bahia de L.A. to St. Rosalia in 5 days, - which is a good 10-days
route. No wonder he complained in journal that was so tired that couldn't
write. Days are short and nights - cold in Baja California in December, not
enough sunlight to dry clothes after paddling day. November was not bad -
with one substantial weather front about Nov 14th - I didn't know it was a
front, didn't have a weather radio :-), VHF weather channels didn't work
there, and all this hell broke loose when I began setting my tent near
Mulege; (Carlos was 10 miles away at Punta Pilares, I didn't even know
this). It feels very different in a trimaran-rigged kayak, - even boring,
and I made many stops on this short section were our ways almost crossed.
Dolphins were roaming in herds around San Markos island - but may be it was
one of those few places where they still remained. Quite depressing, a lot
of garbage, and it seems to be more and more of it every year.

Won't belabor the list with extensive details. Kayak is in excellent
condition -- less than 50 hours on the water -- price is right! If
interested, please e-mail me offline or telephone me!

Cheers!
