Has anybody replaced a skeg cord on an Explorer? I'd appreciate any advice. It seems like the existing cord is one eigth inch diameter, and I just need to put a stopper knot as it goes through the skeg, run it up through the hole in the skeg box, over the pully, through the plastic tube and then put a series of hitches at the end of the cord where I'd hold it. Is there more to it? Should I use something other than one eigth inch braided nylon? How hard is it to run it through that tube and are there any tricks to doing this? Thanks for any advice.
