The insulating feature of the day hatch in order to keep the required BCU hot beverage at the proper temperature has already been reported. BUT, there is an optional second day hatch that will also keep your beer cold. Now you can have both a hot and cold beverage available to you at all times. And if you get confused and put the drinks in the wrong day hatch, the system is SMART enough to automatically switch from the heating to the cooling function and vice versa. Although the designer is still a young whippersnapper, he has designed the features of this boat with the senility of us old farts in mind.
