A while back a discussion started as to what to use in an emergency
when you found yourself beached, boatless, wet and cold. Patagonia has
a Micropuff jacket and pants made with Polarguard Delta that seems to be
a very good solution. And these items can be carried on your body in
a throw rope type bag or a PFD backpack. Here is a link discussing
the qualities of Polarguard Delta.

It would seem crushing isnt much of an issue and Polar Delta continues
to insulate even when wet. The Patagonia items aren't cheap but what
would you pay to be warm when your luck has run out? I bet anything.
