Before starting this thread, I hadn't even considered a hydration system. Thanks for all the ideas. My boat is low volume (a Foster Silhouette) so there's not a lot of room for underdeck options. A PFD-mounted hydration bag, though, should work great. Back in the '70s I had a beta edition of a Camelbak: a rubber lined wine skin. More kind than a metal canteen on hikes. Great for wandering around campus. Plain awful for taste once the wine and rubber fully interacted. I'm glad the technology has moved on.
