My favourite restaurant in Victoria is under new management/ownership. Stopped in Sunday with the family - couldn't help but notice the name change. Formerly "John's Other Place," it is now called the Baidarka. Yeap, there's a skin-on-frame kayak in the window above the highway, and more kayaks hanging in the restaurant with one that's even modified to hold wine glasses over the bar. Gotta admit, that's one SOF mod I'd never seen done before. So, if your passing through Victoria, check out the Baidarka on the Old Island Highway (also known as Sooke Road).
