Batteries have gotten much better. My Nikon D70 (DSLR) can go more than a week with out recharging. My older Sony DSC717 could take around 300 pictures before it needed a recharge. The first digital camera I got (and subsequently returned) went through batteries like a kid eatin' candy. For paddling I have been using the older Canon waterproof 35mm, but this year decided to paddle with my cheap 4MP Canon. I just keep it in a small Pelican 1020 case on the deck. These are the small cases that just flip open. I stow the good gear in a larger Pelican case for use on land. -Patrick At 7:55 PM -0700 4/14/05, Steve Holtzman wrote: >[snip] > >My old Olympus Ultrazoom C700 can pretty much shoot an entire day on one set >of batteries.
