As Chuck Holst already wrote, our sea kayak club, Inland Sea Kayakers,
published a hard plastic card. One side has kayak safety gear and the
other side has proper VHF radio procedures.

Weems & Platt (is that right spelling?) make a sticker that lists the
procedures for calling as well as a short list of channels
(recreational, etc.) which I have stuck on my hardshell boats just fore
of the cockpit. I have made my own cards with the list of useful
channels on one side and a Beaufort Scale on the other which I attach to
the handle of the waterproof bags that I keep my "waterproof" radios in.
Not nearly so nice as what the MN folks have done, but handy
nonetheless.

I have also made a couple of cards for identifying animal tracks and for
estimating distance off by how trees and things look. Wish I still
worked at the office that had that laminator.
