Peter, Certainly it could be deflated on the water, and yes it might be a tricky operation to refold but I guess if you have got so far into DEEP TROUBLE that you need to pull the rip cord I find it hard to imagine why I would want to deflate and refold. I am talking about on the water, where presumably the conditions which got you into DT in the first place still apply. And then of course we are talking about disorientation, hypothermia, cold hands, rough seas, high winds, sea-sickness, other injury, damaged boat etc...
