Since writing my last post to Paddlewise I have received a some of what can only be described as jingoistic hate mail. Friends, if it is your intention to call me names and insinuate or directly suggest that you are better Americans than I am then please keep it to yourself. Rational and non-abusive comments (even if you disagree) on the other hand are always welcome. Calling my opinions "crap" even if true does not contribute to rational dialogue. Some are very easily offended - they just want to pick a verbal fight! Doesn't this list have a moderator of some sort? {moderator insertion - Yes, of some sort, but moderation is not done by reading each post - "trigger" words make the moderator read the item first.
