Hey to our Alaska contingent! A student of mine - a young woman in her 20s - told me today that she's going to Alaska for two months to work on a Girl Scout-sponsored leadership program. Apparently she'll be in remote areas most of the time, but she'll be traveling to Anchorage for at least a few days before the program starts. Noticing a paddling calendar on the wall behind me, she asked if I knew anything about where she might try kayaking in or around Anchorage. I don't (sadly), but I know where to come for the best information there is!!!!
