Black, sticky, foil backed....makes me think of flexible adhesive flashing materials used when installing windows in residential construction. ProtectoWrap is one brand. Grace Vycor is another manufacturer/product line. Stop by a good building supplier and you can buy it in rolls 4", 6", 9", and 12" wide. Sticky stuff. Or...stop by a construction site when you notice they are installing the windows and grab the scraps for free.
