Hi Bob,

Is the route planning in the GPS itself or is it in the PC software that
comes with it, or did you use third party route planning software.?

What did you have to do to get it to plan routes without using interstates?

I just input my final destination into the GPS (Garmin 60C) and bingo! I
also used the GPS to select hotels, resteraunts, kayak shops, fuel stops and
wineries. It was essential and has changed the way I travel

Cya!

I did purchase Gamin's City Select and am able to load one or two days
driving at a time, with lots of "just in case" coverage. If I leave the
loaded area, it takes just a few minutes to upload new coverage.

In addition, everything on the GPS is available on the PC software as well.
