Doug, IRiver is a high quality brand, and their flash players are some of best in terms of quality construction, features and sound quality. Some of the more 'popular' brands have dreadful sound even if they have better marketing and exposure at big box retailers. Check out the forums at www.mysticriver.net, which is the biggest IRiver online user group (that doesn't speak korean only). The absolute best players these days are Cowon I-Audio, but I don't think they make a waterproof housing yet.
