Any one planning to paddle in Southeast Alaska this summer I have got good news and bad news. The good news is due to a dry spring and so far a dry summer, the misquitoes are few! The bad news.. the horse flies are huge, numerous, hungry and obsessed with kayaks. Bring a fly swatter! The no see ums also are in big numbers this summer so don't forget the head nets.
