Need to epoxy a small piece of wood to the previously varnished surface (and
probably put a screw through this joint). I know that epoxy can be covered
with a varnish, but somehow it feels that I should remove the varnish (I have
a lacquer thinner), if I apply epoxy first. The piece is small, the stress
will be low (and there will be a screw), the joint (on the top of a cockpit
rib) will be dry most of the time, - so may be varnish alone will be enough.
I just like using epoxy whenever possible.

Alex.
