Paddlewisers, On Saturday I was with a group of seven paddling the crossing to Catalina Island for lunch, when several different times we saw blue whales, which average 80 feet in length and are the largest creatures ever on earth. Sightings of these whales seems to be occurring more often in Southern California. If we were able to see them several different times during a crossing, there's got to be a whole bunch of them out there. I was able to get some photos, but with the distance about 80 yards, they weren't the best quality.
