[Paddlewise] Cape Lookout National Seashore - North Carolina

Has anybody on this list done a circumnavigation of the Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina?  That would be Shackelford Island, and North and South Core Banks?  I've gone around Shackelford a few times, and played in the surf at Drum Inlet.  I'm considering a trip in October that would be a circumnavigation of all three islands.  Would love to hear from anybody who has done this (or anybody who'se paddled on the ocean side of North And South Core Banks).  Was it hard to find landings without dumping surf?  What was your experience like in the inlets?
