I have a venture going to build a double baidarka with a friend. The designer, Eric Shade of Shearwater Boats, advised me to install a rudder. A Pacific Action sail may be used from time to time. Opinions as to a rudder hardy enough to use on a 21 foot by 26 inch double baidarka stitch and glue kit. It will be a shared boat and may get a lot of use (read abuse).
