  Sure. But why would you?

Anyone can choose to develop one area of their skill set while another area lags far behind. Their informed decision will be vastly different from a person who tries to balance their skill sets--forward strokes, rolls, rescues, navigation, judgement, bracing, immersion gear, bracing, situational awareness, etc.

It's like going kayak camping and leaving your tent or bivy at home. You can, but why would you?! :D

Seems like even the opportunity for rolling as a topic for an author to springboard into a larger discussion about judgement turns into an opportunity for justification for those who want to say "I can't".

Or, this Rob G guy is just a colossal troll, and I've taken the bait. ;)

  Cheers,
